The joy of life does not come principally from human relationships. God has placed it all around us, it's in everything & anything that we can experience. We just need to change the way we look at those things.

Mendenhall Glacier

Juneau is the capitol city & 3rd largest, Anchorage 1-Fairbanks 2.  Its also a port the huge cruise ships call on.  Today there were 4 (2 Holland America, 1 Princess, 1 Celebrity) for the day.  I noticed lots of young families as passengers, which surprised me...I was 50 before I cruised!
Went out to Mendenhall Glacier.  It was truly impressive: a bluish white, about .5 miles wide, rises 100' above the lake water, & is receding 350' per year.   The Forest Service had rangers stationed all over the park & had a movie, programs, & exhibits in a really nice visitors center, plus 5 paved or gravel walking trails.
